STAYCATION | HOTEL ADELINE

||WELCOME WANDERERS ||

This weekend I had the opportunity to enjoy a staycation with my babes at Hotel Adeline in Scottsdale, Arizona. This hotel is just north of the Scottsdale Fashion Square, and Old Town Scottsdale where everything is happening! We had so much fun while there are can’t wait to go back!

Our staycation group consisted of Joanna from Motherhood and Merlot, Andrea from Hello Andrea Maya, and Arianna from Champagne and Thread. We all have our own niche, but some things that we all have in common are food, motherhood and a need for FUN!

To start us off, we had some delicious brunch at Americana Tempe, a downtown staple in Tempe with a rockin-vibe. If you love some bellinis, my favorite kind is the peach mandarin and the Huervos Ranchero was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!

One of my favorite things about Hotel Adeline, especially as a photographer, are all the wonderful little places to take a photo! It is such a picturesque place, with just enough umph. Because let’s be real…. where the fun is, would be at Hotel Adeline.

The rooms were modestly sized, with clean white beds and some beautiful accent furniture, that held those modern vibes, while being simplistic and having a home-like quality. The warm tones and clean lines were inviting and made you want to snuggle up in bed! Thanks to Joanna, we all had complimenting robes that made our staycation a little more coordinated, if you know what I mean. And yeah… we had some boozy- booze for our enjoyment. You know, that Titos is more my style 😉

While at the Hotel Adeline, we were privy to enjoy a pool party hosted by the hotel! It was a little busy, as we didn’t get there and in the pool till almost 3 and the party had been happening since 1! But the DJ spun some great tunes and really made me want to dance, even if it was a pool party. The mojitos were delicious and a great size, however they could have had a few more bartenders. Jo stood in line for 50 minutes for 4 shots and 3 mojitos! Had we known, we would have just brought our own booze in.

After a while at the pool party we needed to go get ready for dinner, which we were so lucky to enjoy Babbo Italian Eatery, where we enjoyed mojitos, bruchetta, crab dip, and for me, all the cheesy pasta! At the Scottsdale location, you can order the cheese wheel pasta, where they literally bring out a 50 pound cheese wheel and stir your pasta in it. IT WAS SO GOOD I ATE TILL I COULD EAT NO MORE! We also got to to enjoy their delicious stuffed churros, affagato and tiramisu (I know, I’m sorry I made your mouth water with all this deliciousness).

After dinner and desert, we were able to go to Patties Lounge in Scottsdale, where you have to (I mean, everyone’s doing it!) write your name on a dollar bill and find a place (which is actually pretty hard) to put your dollar bill! If you visit, you’ll have to try and find out dollar bill amongst what they said was almost 8,000 of them! And I believe it! We had some fun doing jello shots and dancing the night away.

The following morning was quiet and peaceful so before jetting off to brunch, we all took a little dip in the pool in our cute Lime Ricki Swimwear that has the cutest prints and thank heavens is true to size! As a plus size woman, it always makes me nervous to buy clothes, especially ordering things off the internet and not knowing if they will fit me or not. Lime Ricki not only fit me, but I felt so comfortable in it. I know personally after having babies, my tummy is one of those things that I have a hard time showing off, and the pepulum swimsuit from Lime Ricki made me feel gorgeous and confident!

Before we all went our separate ways, we stopped in at First Watch to have ourselves a little brunch to refuel and prepare to go back to mommy duties. I had some avacado toast, eggs, potatoes, along with their fresh hibiscus limeade and kale enegizer! So delicious and the perfect start to our day!

All in all, this staycation was a weekend for the win and I will be so sad to see Joanna move away to Virginia, but so happy for her and her family! Adventure does await them just around the corner!

If you’re in the Phoenix area, choose Scottsdale and Hotel Adeline as your next destination to relax and enjoy some wonderful views!
